Shaggy Palm By Ginger Hobbs
Shaggy Palm is a psychological exploration of non-death grief-the quiet mourning of lost childhood, heartbreak, and imagined futures that never came to be. When the present is no longer shared, it disrupts the continuity of time-memories shift, the past is reinterpreted through loss, and imagined timelines collapse. What was once linear becomes fragmented, looping between what was, what is, and what will never be. The film dwells in this emotional terrain, evoking the ache of sacred songs, scents, and places that now carry bittersweet weight. Through nostalgic imagery, sound, and deeply personal spaces, Shaggy Palm invites viewers to confront their own quiet griefs, however they may surface.
